Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You may not use the Services for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

2. Store platform

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell products and services. Your use of payment, checkout, hosting, or other third-party functionality may also be governed by the applicable provider's terms and privacy practices.

3. Product information and availability

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display products accurately. Agricultural products such as coffee naturally vary by harvest, lot, roast, and processing. Screen settings can also affect color. Images, tasting notes, and descriptions are illustrative and do not guarantee an identical sensory experience. We may change products, packaging, quantities, limits, or availability without notice. We may limit sales by person, household, region, or jurisdiction where permitted by law.

4. Orders, acceptance, and cancellation

An order is an offer to purchase. An order confirmation acknowledges receipt but does not guarantee acceptance. We may reject, limit, or cancel an order for reasons including suspected fraud, pricing or inventory errors, payment failure, resale activity, legal restrictions, or inability to fulfill. If we cancel after collecting payment, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method. You are responsible for reviewing the order and delivery information before submitting it.

Change or cancellation requests must be submitted immediately through the Contact page. We will attempt to stop the order under the current 15-minute rule, with no guarantee once processing has begun. Orders cannot be cancelled after shipment.

5. Prices, payment, taxes, and promotions

Prices are stated in U.S. dollars unless indicated otherwise. Prices, discounts, shipping charges, and promotions may change without notice before an order is submitted. Applicable taxes and charges are calculated at checkout. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method supplied and authorize the applicable charges. Payments are processed by Shopify and the applicable payment providers. Promotions have no cash value, may not be combined unless stated, and may be changed or ended where permitted by law. We may correct genuine pricing or description errors before fulfillment.

6. Shipping, title, and risk

Shipping destinations, rates, processing times, delivery estimates, address responsibilities, carrier issues, and claims are governed by our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless a written guarantee is expressly provided. Risk and title transfer as provided by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

7. Returns and refunds

Returns, non-returnable products, damage claims, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy. Coffee, drip bags, and other food or beverage products are perishable and are final sale: as a rule they cannot be returned for preference changes or ordering mistakes, except for a verified problem such as damage, defect, shortage, or an incorrect item, and subject to applicable law.

8. Accounts and security

If account functionality is offered, you are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Provide current, accurate information and notify us promptly through the Contact page if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security, legal, or operational risk.

9. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the security or operation of the Services; introduce malicious code; scrape, crawl, or access the Services through unauthorized automated means; impersonate another person; submit false information; infringe rights; attempt fraud; harass others; or use the Services in violation of law. We may restrict access and cooperate with lawful investigations.

10. Intellectual property

The Services and their content, including text, graphics, photographs, product names, trade dress, logos, and design, are owned by or licensed to Masa Madre Bakery LLC, doing business as Origen Ritual Coffee, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, lawful shopping and informational purposes. No other rights are granted.

11. Reviews, feedback, and submissions

If you submit a review, comment, photograph, suggestion, or other content, you represent that you have the necessary rights and that the content is lawful, accurate, and does not violate another person's rights. To the extent permitted by law, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Services and our business. We may moderate or remove submissions but are not obligated to do so.

12. Third-party links and services

Third-party sites, carriers, payment providers, apps, and services are independent from us. Links or interoperability do not constitute endorsement. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, policies, or acts, subject to applicable law. Review the third party's terms before using its services.

13. Privacy

Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. Do not send complete payment-card numbers or unnecessary sensitive information through the contact form.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that all defects will be corrected, or that descriptions, availability, or other content will always be complete or current. Products remain subject to any express warranty stated at purchase and to rights that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Masa Madre Bakery LLC, doing business as Origen Ritual Coffee, and its members, managers, employees, contractors, suppliers, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from the Services or products. To the fullest extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid for the product or order giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Masa Madre Bakery LLC, doing business as Origen Ritual Coffee, and its members, managers, employees, contractors, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these Terms or to address fraud, security, legal, or operational risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights, disputes will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Texas. Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through the store's Contact page.

19. Changes, severability, and entire agreement

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and incorporated policies form the entire agreement concerning the Services and supersede prior online terms on the same subject.

Contact Origen Ritual Coffee through the Contact page or contact form available in our online store. Include enough information for us to understand and respond to the request, but do not submit complete payment-card numbers or other sensitive financial information.
